The thing you have to remember when planning your wedding is the experience. From that experience comes memories, good or bad.

It is your job to create an experience that is unparalleled from any other wedding they have ever been to or will ever go to. That is what you are paying for.

If you don’t end up producing lasting memories then you spent your money on the least important things to your guests.

Look at it like this. The payment for your efforts comes in the form of long lasting memories with your guests.  You will want to do things that are memorable will distinguish your wedding in their minds for years to come.

I would like you to look at the picture below, what do you see?  Look at the faces of the people in this moment.  Do you think that this wedding will get lost in the shuffle of weddings they have attended in their life?  When you think about your wedding wouldn’t you like to have an image like this one?  Just take a few moments to let this picture speak it’s thousand words to you before continuing to read this blog.  And once you finish, I want you to think of the images you want to have at your wedding reception.

You are in a sense paying for memories. The best return on your investment is the memories that will distinguish your wedding from the other weddings your guest have attended or will attend throughout their life.

Spending the bulk of your wedding budget on things that won’t produce a return on your investment is a complete waste of your time and money.

Now, I’m not saying don’ t have any flowers or table clothes or chair covers, but spending the majority of your budget on these items is sure to produce a low return if one at all.

Do you think she will remember this wedding for the rest of her life?

The venue, food and entertainment should be where you spend the bulk of your budget because they will get you the most return on your investment.

These are the things that are important to wedding guests. So please take the time to re-think your wedding if you have not given these three things the attention they deserve.

Without these critical items, your wedding will probably not stand out in your guests minds.
