A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law got married.  Oh, what a day that was. Actually we’ve been celebrating for almost a year now.  I had the honor to throw her a Bridal Shower.  Chad and I were both in the wedding and, of course, Miss Ava was the flower girl.
After our months and months of celebrating the engagement and finally the wedding, it was time for one last party.  On Sunday after the wedding, we had a bit of a recovery get together with the bridal party…which meant it was time for a little Hair of the Dog and, in Brooke’s world, that means a Big Bloody Mary!  I have to say that I’m not really much of a fan but I was all about creating an Over the Top Bloody Mary Bar!

“Regardless of its size or complexity, the perfect floral arrangement is the one that makes you stop for an instant and smile with surprise and delight,” writes Preston Bailey in his new book Preston Bailey: Flowers.
If that’s the case, then his beautiful tribute to blooms is bound to inspire awe.  Every bride I’ve shown Flowers to has grabbed the book from my hands and wanted to frame (not rip!) the out-of-this-world photos inside.  His anecdotal stories from A-list events—he’s planned parties for Oprah Winfrey, Joan Rivers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Ivanka Trump—are equally fascinating.

Every great wedding has a lively dance floor, and dancing the night away with dear friends and long-lost relatives is often one of the best parts of saying “I do.” But what about guests who don’t want to dance — or aren’t able to? How can they have all-night fun at your wedding?
We have a few suggestions below for ways to keep your guests entertained all night — and reminiscing about the BEST. WEDDING. EVER. long into the future.
1. Have board games scattered throughout the room
This is a fun option to offer alongside traditional dancing entertainment: Guests can take a spin on the dance floor, then relax for a game of Chutes & Ladders, and non-dancers can make the rounds playing every game at the reception.
